Paul Corfield - Changing Colours

In this painting I wanted to capture the feeling at the end of summer, just as the trees are starting to change. There’s still some warmth to be had on a good day and I think this painting has a feeling that the evening air would still be very pleasant. The leaves on the trees are shimmering in the golden sunset and the sheep are making use of the remaining light to do some last minute grazing.
